We are proud to present our 2008 KSC Challenge Trainers:
Evan Bonner, Tricia Werdall and Patti Kirkpatrick!

  • On Saturday at 9 am, we will start off with trainer introductions, horse selection draw and presentation of our featured stallions: Marciano de Galileo, an Andalusian stallion owned by Linda Coldiron of Vashon Island and Skippa Colonel Irwin, an AQHA stallion owned by Angie Hall of Port Orchard.
  • The Challenge starts off each day with two exciting hours with the trainers working side by side, in separate round pens, using their own style of training to soften, educate and saddle start a young horse.
  • Following the horse starting challenge on both days there will be demonstrations and educational seminars on topics such as hay and grain quality, reining demos, bridle-less training, behavior correction, equine massage, farrier knowledge, saddle fitting and so much more!
  • On Sunday at 2 pm, the trainers will ride their horse through the grand finale obstacle course!
  • The course will consist of trail items commonly seen in a trail class such as a bridge, tarp or mailbox.
  • Winner will be chosen by our judge, the 2007 KSC Challenge winner, Patiricia Ruff of Ruff's Ranch in Poulsbo.
  • The winner will receive a champion belt buckle and the honor of being the winner of the 2008 KSC Challenge!
